&lt;p&gt;Probably a power fault, some wrong load somewhere or a capacitor fault.&lt;br /&gt;Capacitor kits exists for almost all of the Beomaster models, including this one, and&lt;br /&gt;it&amp;#39;s highly recommended to replace the lot (there&amp;#39;s many in there).&lt;br /&gt;Having said that, I would check the 15V supply first and the solder joints&lt;br /&gt;to the large output stage transistors (on the cooling fins), they tend to crack,&lt;br /&gt;placing an uneven load on the power supply.&lt;/p&gt;

I recently acquired a Beomaster 1900 which has a problem. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;After switching on it will not go from &amp;quot;stand-by&amp;quot; to the selected mode, ie: FM&amp;#39;, Phono or Tape. Instead there is a slight &amp;#39;click&amp;#39; from the relay inside and it just remains in &amp;quot;stand-by&amp;quot; mode. Sometimes the control panel lights up momentarily...but then just &amp;quot;stand-by&amp;quot; mode again.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;Can any one please shed some light on what this problem might be.&lt;/p&gt;
