for me its the same: it only shows the software version ( 1.2 )

there is no service menu.

I am sure there is something else to do...

I only get software 3.0 on mine.

Its ok as it works fine.

Press: VTAPE MENU 0 0 PLAY

You enter the service menu.

There is a option "Reset"

hi there,

a few years ago a dealer did some kind of a "soft" reset to the vhs recorder in my AV9000 set.

I dont rememer exactly what he did, but it was like plug out the power cord, then plug it in again and press some buttons on the remote.

maybe somebody knows what I mean because the recorder is acting strange right now and I want to try this out.
