I also had this problem with one of my Beolink7000 and since it looks like you might have a small "connection" to Sweden. I was lucky enough to get help from Ridax (from this forum and lives in Sweden) to help me for a small fee, to change the caps in question. At the very least he will be able to assist you to wich type they are if you want to make the switch yourself or if he is unable to do the work for you.

Hope you will revive your Beolink

Since last summer trying to get the capacitors changed in my beolink 7000 the B&O repair centre in Stockholm refused to repair it so it went to London where they also refused to repair it so I took it to the B&O centre in Dorset who have known me for 20 years. Today they informed me that they too have refused to repair it!

Getting the capacitors themselves may be relatively easy but finding someone to spend that 1 hour with it is becoming a nightmare!

Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks.

Gary

Re: One way Beolink 7000 problem...

Hi,

the caps are available in any professional electronic shop, absolutly no problem.

It is not necessary to use smd parts, quite normal miniature caps are good enough and almost every shop can get them... really nothing special.

This type here is sufficient for repair...

http://www.reichelt.de/?;ACTION=3;LA=2;GROUP=B315;GROUPID=3145;ARTICLE=18163;START=0;SORT=user;OFFSET=50;SID=25nCF5jKwQARkAACDXhR067137ca17766ce913ee05cb4b264db4a

... so, 50 cent are more than enough to repair a BL7000... and 1 hour

I know it is a capacitor problem but my local dealer cannot fix it as he says the capacitors are not available! He even has a couple more "patients" in the workshop.

These must be available from somewhere as I see others have fixed the problem previously and I cannot accept the unit as scrap for the sake of a 50p component.

Can anyone please advise where they can be obtained or even where the unit can be sent for repair as I don't have total faith in my local dealer now?

Many thanks.
