Thank you, but I think that I must open a BC2 to read the name of this chip !

But, if it can read a sampling frequencies of 96 kHz and if the Signal-to-Noise-Ratio is up to 105 dB it will work at 24 bits

Unfortunately the service manual doesn't help here - the BC2 is from the newer era where you're only supposed to replace complete modules instead of real service. It doesn't have schematic diagrams, only instructions on mechanical work and coarse block & wiring diagrams.

So, the only way to find out would be to take a look at the actual sound engine module and see what's installed on it... (and don't ask me, I haven't even seen the complete unit!).

Hi,

Nobody knows something about my questions ?

The best would be to look at the schematic diagrams in the service manual. The DAC IC type will be shown there. Then do a Google search

with the IC designation (ex: TDA 1541, athough a more recent one is certainly used in the BC 2) to finds its specs.

Hi,

I just want to know if somebody knows the name or the kind of the sigma-delta chip mounted in the beocenter 2 audiio/video ?

It can read up to 96 khz of frequency but witch sampling is it able to read ? with 20 bits, 24 bits ?
