I've not opened up the inside of a CD3300 to see which laser/transport it has, but if it is a Philips, here is a good source of Philips units.

A bit expensive, but other users of another tech forum to which I belong are satisfied with this supplier.

Hi bigmuff

Change all cap's on the decoder pcb its located just beneath the laserpickup,if this do not work the laserpickup itself is gone,and you have to try to get one maybe a used one in cosmetic bad condition

What does the display do? Does it show a ? ? I would suggest that the fault could be that it is simply not reading the disc. Easiest fix (which you will have tried!) is cleaning the lens. After that we turn to the laser voltage - you will find entries in this forum about faulty capacitors on the focus board. Of course it could be the laser - that is what a service department will say, and these are tricky to source.

hi everyone!!

my main problem is that when i put a cd on,it spins around but does`nt play,its like its getting stuck,also when i try to select a another track it just stays on track 1,anykind of help would be most helpful.
