I found that two 10ohms resistors where out of specs, one of them was blown(burned). After reading around on this forum I found that this resistors worked as fuse for a transistorpair. I tested the two transistors and found that one in fact was not working. So I replaced it. But the problems are still the same... This is where I found the tips about changing the transistors: -->

PS I dont have any test cds, but I have an extra laser and engine from an old Philps cd player.

Re: Beocenter 8000 cd-problem

First, do you have the right instruments, knowledge, skills and test CD's to service B&O CD decks or
are you working on the "kitchen table" ?

Replacing bad components is one thing. Finding out why they went bad is another.
What was wrong with the "out of spec" components and which components were they ?

Did you check laser current, focus control, radial balance and the presence of a clean catseye pattern ?

After a look around the forum I changed a couple of resistors and a transistor that messured out of range. Now the CD spins up and keeps spining at a speed near light:), after 3-4seconds the lid opens. Before doing any "repairs" the cd did maybe move for 3/4 of a round. Anybody who have a clue?
