A warm welcome to Beoworld....

Do you mean the CD clamper (the thing that opens to put the CD under?). If so this only opens when you press 'load' on the control panel inside the glass doors, as I assume you are referring to.

The glass doors are the only thing that opens based on movement in front of the unit.

Trust that helps.

I'm assuming the module that controls the motor is fried? Since that's the only piece I touched. Anyone know where i can get anothe module?

Re: Beosound 2300 glass door won't work, cable sticking out...

so I just opened it up, and it looks like one end of the cable is lose. But the cabling is mind boggling, anyone has a diagram or know how the cabling works?

Beosound 2300 glass door won't work, cable sticking out...

Hello, new to the forum. I just purchased a beolab 2300 off ebay, the seller shipped the item with the glass door installed on the unit. I opened the package and noticed the left door was sagging a bit, after powering it up, I can hear the motor trying to open the glass door and was struggling; so I gave it a gentle push to get the door opened. Now the door won't close and I have a cotton cable sticking out from the top of the unit.

Does anyone know how to repair this? I'm quit handy when it comes to electronic equipments, should I try to tackle this issue myself or would I be opening a whole world of hurt? The wire, seems to me, should be looped around some pully in the machine, however has come lose from it. Anyone know how to open one of these machines up?

thanks!
