I have had the glass door off during all of this by the way...doubt if this makes any difference???

Maybe a limit switch on the door closing mechanism that's malfunctioning?

Something I'm missing?

Any thoughts out there?

Re: 9000 problem...Help Please!

I just tried it out by starting on cd #4 on random...it played a couple of songs on #4 cd, then read 'cd#5' (like it was about to move there), but again...it didn't move...stayed where it was for another 20 seconds and shut off again.

I have it mounted vertically (same issue when I had it mounted horizonally also). I turn the unit on...press cd button #1 (starts to play)...hit 'random' button (says 'random on')...and when the song is finished and it starts to switch to a different cd...it travels about a half an inch and stays there...sits for 20 seconds or so, then turns off.

I read through all of the posts...cleaned the laser...cleaned the door area sensors...blew out any dust...I even cleaned the top area under the 'Bang & Olufsen' disc (yes, I removed the entire headpiece and cleaned every area)...sill no avail.

Anyone else with this problem?

Any suggestions?
