For a safe connection of Beovox 2500 Cube speaker to any amplifier output. Use a small connectionbox with a crosover like filter.

See the circ uit below. I tried to upload a PDF file - but I could not fint out how (sorry)

Yhis is why so many Beovox 2500 Cube have 'burned' speaker units - about 25%.

I had a request from a customer - he would like to connect the very beautiful designed Beovox 2500 Cube speakers from 1967 directly to an amplifier. The question: is that possible or will the Cube be destroyed.

The answer is of course, Yes – this is not possible.

But I found a solution for this customer; I am designing a small connection box with a crossover filter optimized for Beovox 2500 Cube.

The Cube speaker is designed for the frequency range over 2 kHz, so this connection, box does not mean you can use the cube speaker as the only speaker for a system, but you can use it as a high tone speaker, which is what B&O designed it for.

I will bring the diagram of the connection box here in a couple of days, perhaps it could be useful for others too?

/Frede
