I have swaped boards with a working 5000 and the fault is with the large top PCB. I have measured the tuning voltage and this increases as expexted and the frequency display covers the whole band but with both the faulty boards there is nothing received above about 92MHz&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Can you direct it&amp;nbsp;with the MCP&amp;nbsp;to go to a fequency above 92 to find a radio station that you know exists eg Classic FM 100.3??&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Use &lt;strong&gt;GOTO&lt;/strong&gt; and then &lt;strong&gt;1 0 0 3 &lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;on an MCP 5500 - I cannot remember how it works on an MCP 5000 as it is quite a few years since I had one (and even more since I first needed to tune it in!)&lt;/p&gt;

These beomasters&amp;nbsp;really struggle&amp;nbsp;to find stations with nothing acting as an ariel, even a bent wire coathanger will do the job.&lt;/p&gt;

When searching for FM stations nothing is found above about 92MHz below this frequency both work fine. I have checked the tuning voltage and this ramps up as expexted during the search, any thoughts or assistance would be appreciated&lt;/p&gt;
