Try cleaning the laser lens with a cotton bud damped in isopropanol. If that fail to fix it then you will probably need to replace the CD mechanism.

I had the same problem with my Beosound 3000 when it was about 2½ years old. The only way was to put a new CD-drive + mechanisme into the Beosound - and it did cost about the same as a complet plastic stereo-set in the supermarket.

But after the repair the Beosound plays perfect - again.

I think the Beosound 2300 has a different CD-drive as the 3000/3200.

Hello people I wonder if someone could help me with a problem with my 12 year old Beosound 2300.

Its never liked cdr's but now refuses to play normal cd's everythings fine with the machine but it wont read the cd , wont start to spin

or anything. Radio works fine doors slide as they should.

Any help would be much apprceciated
