The service manual is on site but I wouldn't do anything that they will then say caused the problem.

Re: Beosystem 2500 CD Engagement

There are no real adjustments one can make other to the lever mechanism.

If it has just left the repairers and they took it apart then they should put it back together properly. I own a Beosystem 2500 which I have owned since new in 1993. I had a full home system. I have used the system continually and have moved and an now that I am close to retirement I am setting things up in my final domicile. I have also acquired a Beosound Overature for use in a separated site. My 2500 has been serviced by the local b&o service center after I mucked up an effort to replace the window drive belt ( which I replaced once before without incident ). Since its return, the CD Load sequence does not fully close and as such, the CD touches the CD clamp. Slight pressure on the clamp will allow the CD to play fine. In fact, it may play several CD's without incident and then revert to the binding.

All this B/S to ask if there is an adjustment for the CD closing mechanism or do I need to get a second mortgage to return to the repair center.

MrBob
