I noticed that you are the author of much feedback with the MX5500, do you think this fault may be due to capacitors in the power supply??

Re: MX6000 with a sound fault

Is it only on tuner or with both SCARTs too?

MX6000 with a sound fault

Hi Guys, I've only just joined today and have read many of the comments.

I am looking for info regarding this fault.

The set works fine, within 10-15 minutes of switch on, the sound begins to distort and stays that way. I've replaced a couple of electrlytics in the audio amp cct but don't have much experience with this fault. Any ideas or guidance please?
