It is likely that the suspensions will be in different condition. The Effective Tip Mass of the S will be a little higher but still very low so I wouldn&amp;#39;t worry about the differential in record wear! I also have an MMC 20S cartridge from a non-working Beocenter 2000. A also tried it with the MMC 20E from by Beocenter 5000 with the dodgy turntable (see one of my other threads) In theory the MMC 20E is a &amp;#39;better&amp;#39; cartridge than the MMC 20S but I found to my surrprise that I preferred the MMC 20S for two reasons.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Firstly the bass is stronger (albeit at the expense of some of the treble detail) and secondly because it seems far more tolerant of records in less than perfect condition.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Has anyone else compare these two cartridges?
