Was off a couple of years as to my farthers purchase. He apparently bought it in 1941 - not easy to remember for a 4 year old at the time - 66 years later. It has a fault involving some electronics but the tube would seem to be fine when last used. After 8 moves around Europe - not all as sensitive and delicate as required - the tube finally gave in. Hail to B&amp;amp;O for quality - and durability! I have been weened on B&amp;amp;O products since 1941 when I - 4 years old - became aware of the fantastic sound of the radio that my father had bought a few years earlier.
