It will work with a bg4000 though a 4002 would be a better match if you don't find a bg6000. The remote is of limited value as unlike the 2400 system and indeed thr prototype 6000 system it does not control the beogram. I have a full 6000 system but I prefer my 4400 system to listen to. Also think B&O should have made the top panel from glass.

Re: beomaster 6000

Thanks for the advice - I've bought it. I have seen only two bm 6000's offered the last two years, both working but both without the remote. Get it while you still can, otherwise you might regret this. The beogram 6000 would be the perfect match, but the beogram 4000 is similar in design but lacks the CD4 decoder. The beogram 4000 will work nicely with the bm 6000, though

Have fun with it.

Re: beomaster 6000

Even if it is not working, I would still buy it. The Beomaster 6000 is the Holy Grail of Beomasters, and Quadrophonic. To find one with the remote is a very rare find. Not sure how much you should pay for it. Although some of our other members may be able to give you an idea. As for connecting a Beogram 4000, it will work perfectly. And be a very good cosmetic match.

Craig

beomaster 6000

I've got the possible chance to buy a beomaster 6000 - the 70's one with the silvery front and black back with rosewood surround. Very square, with "buttons" in a steel sheet with sort of tongues cut in it.

My questions - are they considered worth having? If in need of repair, how feasible is this? Would the beogram 4000 be compatable? And any advice as to what I should expect to pay for it? It has the remote control which matches...

Any advice gratefully received!

Andrew
