managed to get the broken one out thanks! the other is jammed in place though and the foam hasn't yet worn through but is starting to quite badly, don't really wanna break it on purpose but might as well break it and refoam both

just done a bit more research into it and i have no idea about this little tweeter cone but it shouldn't be a problem, can't find any infomation on the actual speaker other than the power output, the other seems to have a rubber surround but held in place by the same (starting to disintergrate) foam as the other

Just remove the 4 screws on the 4 corners of the actual woofer speaker at the clamps that hold it.

Then remove the clamps & pull out the woofer from the front - it is not glued to the wood.

But not sure, I have some Vox'es 2600's from the same area and they are mounted that way.

The crossovers will be accessable through the woofer's hole...

thanks i had my suspicions about it not being the same but the people i bought it off never mentioned it, is there any way to pull the speakers to have a better look? it seems to be a completly enclosed case with the only openings being the holes that the speakers are glued into (no more screws, they just won't budge)

i was very tempted to mount the speakers into a new box but it would be my first venture into building and was hoping not to have to take these apart, at least yet haha!

At least the second one is definitely not original. Never seen one with that tweeter cone in the middle.

And if I see nothing around that big paper cone yes, that's the foam that's missing.

Not sure if the original speaker had foam surrounds - I suspect they were rubber in the 70es.

The first one could be original & rubber - just check it.

I recently purchased a Beomaster 901 with a 2 beovox 1000 and although i tested them a couple of weeks ago when i came to plug them into a different amp i noticed it sounded rather like something throwing up out my speakers :/ after finally daring to remove the covers i discovered one speaker (the 6.5 inch) seems to have absolutlely nothing over the top of it, the other one looks to have a black covering over where the cone is exposed, there are various bits of foam rolling round from when i took the covering off so i think this may be foam rot, but could it have rotted the entire covering away?
I'm very new to this kind of thing and but if anyone knows a way to repair this i'm looking forward, any other advice is always appreciated too! also have some pictures if that helps
