Thank you for your reply once again if the problem gets worse I will take it back to the repair shop and point those points out although I do think its the potentiometer. All I think the man has done is clean all the controls. But its not doing to badly considering its age.

Thank you for all your kind help.

Thank you for your reply i have just tried what you said and the problem is still their so I think the problem must be with the Beocenter itself

Re: Beocenter 2600

Welcome to Beoworld !

Try swapping the left/right loudspeakers (cables) to see if the problem is with the
speakers or the Beocenter.

I have a Beocenter 2600 its a lovely unit it has 2 Beovox s35 speakers it has been working fine since I brought in last year second hand but all of a sudden it has started to play up the problem is with the Volume the trouble only seems to occur on Right Channel. The balance is level between the 2 channels but I find my self having to put the Volume to 3.5 - 4 on the number scale to get the bass driver to be level with the left channel and every now and then then you turn the volume up or down you can hear a crackle from the right channel or you have to turn the volume up and down until the bass on the right channel wants to work again.

I have had it into the Repair shop a few times about this issue and they have checked it all and said they can find nothing wrong with it. Unless I am going totaly mad and imagining its doing it!!!

When it was in the repair shop last it had a new belt put on the cassette deck and a full service but only having it back 6 weeks the same problem with the volume has now come back and it is now starting to become annoying.

Any help or advice welcomed :)
