If the Beogram 2402 has all 7 pins still in the DIN connector, try unscrewing the outer
two pins and try again. A tiny watchmakers screwdriver will do this.
And store the pins a safe place.

The "later" datalink system is not compatible with the earlier type.

And then you should connect it to a Phono input rather than a line-level AUX.

Hello,

My mother has a Beogram 2402 and a while ago I gave her my old Beosystem 2300, I plugged the 2402 into the Aux socket and pressed Aux but the arm on the turntable simply goes to the edge of the record, goes down, then comes back up and returns to it's stop position.

Does anyone konw if this is simply because one system is a lot older than the other, or is there some knack to this? The turntable hasn't been used much at all for a few years, if that makes any difference.

Any help would be very much appreciated.
