I had a feeling that would be the case!!

I'll have a gander at the circuit diagrams tonight and see whats what in there. I know for a fact the RIAA needs attention, so the whole lot in one go may be on the menu.

Most likely in need of more or less complete amplifier overhaul.
Idle current trimmers, DC offset trimmers, capacitors, cracked solder joints etc.

Hi all,

long time since I've been able to play about with some B&O, but when I got home this week it was time!

I've had this BM6000 in my uni room for the past year connected to some S80.2's, and as the volume ascends above 30 the clip protection circuit overrules everything and switches the unit off.

Its quite a battered one, with a colourful history before I was the owner, in fact someone once spilled wine in it (now cleanerd, no worries), but it is still sounding great up untill the 30 mark. In fact, it sounds better than the other unblemished and wine free 6000 at home.

Any help would be appreciated!
