Store in a carport loL!

I have my fingers crossed for you that the missing segments will just be drys, and not the chips.

It has been out in his carport for 15 years in storage, there were seven layers of dust on it when I got it, and I thought that this might just be usable as a sorry looking donor unit with a rusty chassis.

I took it home and began cleaning that thing. Underneath, the rosewood is still looking pristine, no scratches on the surface, only a few marks in the aluminium finish. I plugged it in and loaded a tape in it, pressed "play" and it played like new. No mechanical faults, 4 LED segments not working and two bulbs blown. Fantastic, got an exellent 8004 for nothing but a few drops of isopropanol and 20 cotton swabs. This is what B&O is about; standing the test of time, both mechanical and aestethic. Definately a positive experience!
