I now remember seeing those stamps (P2 etc.) on other units. As I bought this Beocenter along with a original white Beocord 2200 you should be right...&lt;/p&gt;

P2 or P3.&lt;br /&gt;It&amp;#39;s not easy to say what the original finish was on the Beocenter 1800 since there are&lt;br /&gt;no obvious codes but it could easily&amp;nbsp;have been white.&lt;/p&gt;

I asked the seller if he knew what type of veneer it was under the paint - he answered it should be Teak, because the serial number said so.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Is this really part of the serial number? Somehow I doubt it.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If it&amp;#39;s true, what colour should this be? There&amp;#39;s nothing left of the original veneer and I want to replace it...&lt;/p&gt;
