Lovely speakers. The frets wrapping around is a great design idea.

The PE606 record deck was one-year only. The mech. was a german Perpetuum Ebner deck rather than a true B&O build.
The tonearm was B&O though, but it was also seen with a curvy white plastic Ronette tonearm/pickup.
It saw use in the larger TV-Radio-Gram models and it was used in the building furniture series.
In the form of the latter, I have this one

I'm almost sure that I also have the speakers.

Wow! That bottom picture could turn me to burglary if I ever found myself in Struer on a dark night. What a beautiful set up. Do those record players ever turn up?

Actually, a smaller version was also available, the ST GP 606 (& 607) which is even rarer.
Unlike the ST606 which is always found alone, the smaller ones are sometimes found in pairs,
confirming that they were sold for different purposes and systems.

Yes, that's a rare bird.

It was mentioned in the 1959 catalogue for use with the very early stereo valve sets.
The set itself had two amplifier sections and one speaker and then you could add
an ST606 and place it at a certain distance to the set to get stereo.

A little brass sign at the front, very unlike B&O, confirmed that this was indeed the latest craze:

On page 339 of From Vision to Legend there is a picture of a display from 1959. In it at the bottom right there is a lovely looking speaker on a tubular chrome stand. Does anyone know what it is? I am sure I have seen them pictured elsewhere but not on this site. Does any one have any more info on them. Martin, do they come in to your encyclopedic knowledge.
