&lt;p&gt;Yes I concur with you. My two Beocord 9000 run quite hot as well. This would seem normal although a bit worrying!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The Beocord 6000/8000 don&amp;#39;t run as hot, far from it.&lt;/p&gt;

It plays and records well, but after abot 20 minutes left on, the rear cooling fins are too hot to touch. I suspect that some sort of output transistor gets too much current (bias problems). Is it an ordinary problem on the Beocord 8000 range?&lt;/p&gt;
