&lt;p&gt;Impressive how many people never saw DIN speaker sockets before.&lt;br /&gt;It&amp;#39;s the only worldwide standardized socket/plug type for home audio speakers&amp;nbsp;for 50 years.&lt;br /&gt;Everything else is non-standard,&amp;nbsp;proprietary or homemade.&lt;/p&gt;
