Thank you for the advice! What a pity the part is no longer available and this is the only thing that prevents most 9000s from working.

My clip hasn't disintegrated entirely, I will attempt a delicate repair using superglue and see how I get on. Listening to CDs once again will be a joy.

The part is definitely no longer available and this has been the situation for some years. This has become a common fault with no real solution and Beocenter 9000's all over the world are becoming large cassette radios.

Your broken system request might at first seem reasonable but for the fact that this problem is just about the only thing that stops the 9000 working.

A member was volunteering to manufacture said "widget" on a one off basis and a search of the forum should throw up a contact.

Hi all,

I'm new to the forum here but have been a lifelong fan of B&O and particularly like their vintage products. My Beocenter 9000 is immobilised at the moment because of a cracked CD retaining clip that sits on top of the spindle. It won't retain the CD as the crack allows it to expand and therefore doesn't clamp the CD in place....

I've been told by a few B&O people that the part is now deleted and not available to buy. My last hope is that somebody has a spare one out there, or has a broken system that can be cannibalised for spares? I would be willing to pay a handsome price for this as without it I cannot play CDs and my treasured system will have to go in the bin!

If anyone is able to help please drop let me know. I'm happy to travel to pick up the part to cause you minimum inconvenience.
