&lt;p&gt;just to ask you, from your experience does the U shape in the middle of the spring of the turntable dust cover point up or downward when Im putting it back in? &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As somebody was at it before I cant tell which is the correct way. &lt;/p&gt;

Take out the spring and&lt;br /&gt;note&amp;nbsp;which way&amp;nbsp;it should go in again.&lt;br /&gt;Twist&amp;nbsp;both ends&amp;nbsp;to give a greater tension and fit it again.&lt;br /&gt;If the spring was twisted several times already, as you suggest, it may have&lt;br /&gt;lost it&amp;#39;s effect and we will have to find a replacement.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I would appreciate some help with fixing the turntable lid on my 7002 center. Im basically trying to get the lid to stay up when I open it as it just collapses every time.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Ive taken the 3 screws out at the back to try and sort it out as it seems it should be simple but if it is then it hasnt dawned on me yet!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I think that somebody has tried to fix it before as the wire has been out and probably misshapped before being put back in the wrong way &lt;/p&gt;
