Wonderful rosewood cabinet, beautiful warm sound (I listen to it with Beovox 2200)... Don't miss this historic piece of B&O art!

Re: Beomaster 1000 value?

Like Mika, I picked up a cheap black-keyed version of the Beomaster 1000 that only needed the dial bulbs replacing. Apart from that it works fine, and I use it in my office at home to listen to the news on Radio 4. It's not my favourite looking receiver, but it performs well and is small enough to be able to be placed virtually anywhere discretely.

I paid £25 for mine from eBay.

Re: Beomaster 1000 value?

I never liked the looks, but still have one (couldn't let it stay at the thrift store until someone steals the knobs... )

It
sounds pretty good when in proper working order and is easy to place,
so I guess every collection could do with one. The white key version
seems to be more desirable and looks slightly better to me. Mine is
black and I paid I think 40€ for it. Needed new dial bulbs and that was
it, even the stereo decoder is there.

The left keys are all separately working toggle types... could be some annoying mechanical breakage.

Re: Beomaster 1000 value?

I bought a fully working white key 1000 for £30 a few years ago.
Hello,

I have the opportunity to buy a Beomaster 1000 (white piano keys) locally.

Is this a desirable item and how much should I pay for it?

It is in very good condition, but the left keys seem to be stuck.

Thanks for your comments!
