&lt;p&gt;I knew I&amp;#39;d seen a post on this but didn&amp;#39;t find it when I searched.&amp;nbsp; Thanks for the link.&amp;nbsp; I&amp;#39;m not electronically gifted so was fumbling in the dark a bit.&amp;nbsp; The resistors (thin long grey &amp;#39;things&amp;#39;) look as I&amp;#39;d expect new ones to look.&amp;nbsp; No wires cross or short circuit with no signs of fraying or cable breaks - looks very fresh.&amp;nbsp; Coils look perfect and well fixed to the board.&amp;nbsp; In fact, the crossover network and wiring looks like new!.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I&amp;#39;ll try the battery test.&amp;nbsp; What about the midrange speaker though?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I checked with the seller who of course assures me that all 6 speakers were working prior to shipping.&amp;nbsp; I know they are good speakers as I already have a set.&amp;nbsp; I may use these failed units as a test/learning exercise as I know I have other speakers that need refoaming, cap replacements etc.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;mso-ansi-language:EN-GB;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:small;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;mso-ansi-language:EN-GB;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:x-small;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:small;"&gt;If it moves the problem is probably the cross-over: Look for over-heated resistors (turned from grey to brown/black colour), melted isolation on the wires touching each other (causing short-cut) or missing connections somewhere in the network.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;mso-ansi-language:EN-GB;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:small;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;mso-ansi-language:EN-GB;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:x-small;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:small;"&gt;If it doesn&amp;rsquo;t move (most likely after your description of the wire/network) the problem is the unit itself, and you should look for another bass driver since they&amp;rsquo;re practically unrepairable.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;mso-ansi-language:EN-GB;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:small;"&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:Verdana;mso-ansi-language:EN-GB;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:small;"&gt;The Beovox S45-2 is a very nice speaker &amp;ndash; and worth keeping alive (even &lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/p/32520/264013.aspx#264013"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:small;"&gt;improving&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:x-small;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:small;"&gt;)&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Any suggestions?&amp;nbsp; Is the just a crossover problem?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I&amp;#39;ve read about the problem of sticking coils? on the bass driver but I don&amp;#39;t understand why there is nothing from the midrange either.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
