The only thing with AM antenna's is finding one with the correct 2 pin plug, there's a genuine B&O one on ebay USA.

I have seen that AM antenna, and while it looks amazing, and i'm sure preforms great, I have a feeling it is more money than I want to spend right now.

I would think there would be a cheap alternative for sale at Radio Shack... I really just want to listen to baseball games and NPR. Amazing sound quality is not a priority (yet) here...

What can I ask for at Radio Shack, or on ebay to get me something that works?

Thanks for your suggestions so far.

Re: AM/FM Antennas needed for Beomaster 5500 (USA)

You should go for an active (powered) B&O AM antenna

http://www.beoworld.org/prod_details.asp?pid=1003

http://www.beocentral.com/products/am10

I use one daily in Holland for BBC R4 LW and difference is quite remarkable.

From the spec on Beoworld I don't see a 110v version so you may need a stepdown tranformer.

Whats the easiest/cheapest way to get my AM radio working? A certain part on ebay? Something from Radio Shack? Sorry, I'm clueless here...

I don't have an FM antenna either, so getting that working (more stations!) would be great.

My priority is AM though.

Thank you!
