My friend just sent me a pic of the beomaster.....even though its a cell pic I think it really shows in what a wonderful condition the unit is in. I should have it by the end of next week if all goes to plan!!

Quick update. My friend has just collected the Beomaster for me ( I live in a different city) and he says that the unit is virtually flawless, no dents, no scratches!!! I have asked him to send me a photo when he can! All very exciting I think!!

Had one in worse cosmetic condition than that. It was covered all over in rust spots. So was the remote. Can't remeber where the previos owner had lived, but I put the damage down to it been a very humid climate there. £60 is a complete bargain if it is all working OK.

And if you need any reassurance, check this 6000 Quad out on UK eBay. It looks like it has been salvaged from the Irish Sea!

Well I did convert the price from Rands to Pounds but at R700.00 its very cheap for me as it is extremely rare to find one here and to source one from overseas would be very expensive.

I am definitely going to go for it!

If everything works then £60 is a steal! I paid £50 for mine and not much of it was working. Because of the complexity, repair was something like £130ish, so once shipping and petrol was factored in we are looking at nearly £220.

I say go for it, but don't be surprised if something is not working. It is virtually impossible to find one that is working that has not had some repair at one stage in its life, so approach any unit that is 'working perfectly' with a massive degree of caution!!!

I have just come across a Beomaster 6000 (see pic that seller sent to me). Everyone always ooh's and aah's over this model on the forum so I thought to myself I have to get it! From the pic it seems in very good condition plus the seller says it works perfectly. Thats the exciting bit....I have something to work with! Price is £60. Thats seems reasonable to me?? or not??
