I found quite a few rosewood BC7700 for sale in Holland and it took me quite a while before my white BC7700 finally came up. Maybe the white ones were preferrred in the North...

Well, all I've seen here in Holland so far are white ones! I agree though, I don't like the idea of chopping up a B&O original. I'm not in a hurry so if I can I'll get a wood one.

Thanks guys!

Re: Beocenter 7700 7007 7000 wood trim interchangable?

White BC7700's are not very common so I would never convert a white into wood.
Find a nice wood one instead.

The wooden strips will normally lift off nicely by using a hairdrier and a hobby knife,
work your way slowly from one end to the other and the wooden strip will come
off in one piece. It will even mount again using the same glue.
That's also how B&O did repairs to wood trim and the trim parts came with glue already
on their backsides if ordered as spareparts.
Not all white trim was like that, however. Some are merely thin film, some are
painted and others are laminated.

According to the Service Manual the only way to change it is to scrape off the old trim (thereby destroying it) and stick a new one on there

So if you could find a matching piece of veneer...

Beocenter 7700 7007 7000 wood trim interchangable?

Hi all,

I'm thinking of buying a beocenter 7700 to drive my new M100's. Unfortunately, I have seen only white trim bc7700's so far here in the Netherlands!

Is the trim from the 7000 series music centers interchangable so I could use a rosewood trim from any 7*** on the 7700 to match the rosewood M100's?

Thanks in advance!
