These are lovely littl;e speakers - much nicer than the later S25 as the S22 had the more expensive dome tweeter fitted. Very small but a good cabinet finish and very pleasant if lightweight sound. The ones on Beocentral are mine!

Re: B&O Beovox S22 Speakers

Hi - thanks for the quick response and welcome.

I think they do look like this, yes. I'm at work at the moment, so will check a bit more thoroughly when I get home, but I think they are the 2 pin din. If it is any help I have attached a couple of photos of the back of the speakers that were sent to me.

Thanks for putting my mind at rest that there are solutions out there! Had quite a panic when I opened up the box!

Welcome to Beoworld
Yes, these can be used on a non B&O amp, and I wouldn't worry too much about the kind of speaker wire.
Not sure which connections ar on the S22s, but I imagine it will be the fairly common 2 pin din available to screw or solder on from Maplins etc.
Do they look like THIS

B&O Beovox S22 Speakers

Hello,

I have acquired a pair of Beovox S22 Speakers. Having never owned anything B&O before, I didn't realise that they have a specific fitting on the back. I have managed to find what I believe to be the the required cable here http://www.lifestyle-av.co.uk/details.asp?sectionId=4&productId=383 but I was wondering if I am able to connect these speakers to a regular amp?

Would be very grateful for any information you could shed on the situation!

Thanks,
