The S55&amp;#39;s are some of my personal favourites amongst the smaller &amp;quot;S&amp;quot; series of speaker. Do as Martin suggests &amp;amp; replace the cap&amp;#39;s in the crossovers while you have them open.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You won&amp;#39;t find anything near as good as these, in terms of sound &amp;amp; build quality,&amp;nbsp;for the price of a repair kit &amp;amp; a little work.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The Beovox S55 are fine speakers for their size.&lt;br /&gt;The woofers are 6 ohms so not easily replaced by modern types but&lt;br /&gt;I would almost always suggest refoam rather than replace anyways.&lt;br /&gt;Shouldn&amp;#39;t be too costly and if the rest is like new, they will be worth it.&lt;br /&gt;I can help you if you are near Denmark.&lt;br /&gt;I would also suggest you grab a capacitor kit. It would make good sense to&lt;br /&gt;replace the old and dried out electrolytic capacitors while you have&lt;br /&gt;the speakers apart.&lt;/p&gt;
