Those might come in handy for anyone who has a BS -000 (BS2000, 3000, 5000) and would like to use Beolinks or would like to tie any older systems together with their Beovision or Beosounds in the bedroom.

The Beolink 1000, 5000, 7000 and Beo-x remotes work out of the box with any stacks and flat systems ending on -500 (BS3500, 4500, 5500, 6500) and the more recent 7000 and 9000 stacks.

If there is a way to reverse engineer or otherwise the codes, I don't think building new code converters is too difficult. Nothing a microcontroller like an AVR can't handle.

On a side note: Would the Terminal 3000 work with a BS5000? Is it very different from a T5000?

Re: Beolink 1000 to Beosystems...

thank you that's what I thought, 'the 1000 will not work with the 5000', I was confused when I saw a 1000 being sold with a 6500 and working

Oh what fun it is and a joy to here sound so crisp

Re: Beolink 1000 to Beosystems...

Welcome to BeoWorld!

In simplest terms, no.

A BL1000 will not work w/ a 5000. With that said, there is a code converter that would allow using one. Problem is: the converters are tough to find today. You will need a MCP5000. A T5000 is also nice to have for convenience sake.

As far as the stack systems... the BL1000 will work with 5500 and up.

We should assemble a compatibility matrix for the FAQ(s) page.

Re: Beolink 1000 to Beosystems...

By Beosystem 5000 do you mean Beomaster 5000
