Advice in setting up non- B&O TV with B&O active speakers

Hi,

I recently aquired a pair of nice Beolab 5000 speakers and some Beolab 3's. My intention is to use them with my Pioneer Kuro KRP500A TV for a 5.1 setup.

The issues I have are:

How to control volume as this cannot be done through the TV I was told. I have a Yamaha 5.1 amp but really want the speakers to use their own amplification if practicable.

How should I connect the speakers to the amp, use powerlink, speakerlink or line in?

Is there a B&O unit available to give 5.1 surround between a non-B&O TV and Beolab speakers?

I have an Overture, is this any use in this respect?

Any help and advice would be appreciated.
