&lt;p&gt;I just have connected my old Beocord 1600 to a Beomaster 1001 (a BM1200 without AM) that I am currently restoring and I can tell you that it works perfectly.&lt;br /&gt;There is another difference about the sockets, the BC1600 is only in Din whereas the BC1200 is both DIN and RCA and will match better with non-B&amp;amp;O equipments.&lt;/p&gt;
