&lt;p&gt;I am sure Martin will correct me if I am wrong but I think you will only light the Stereo lamp if you are switched to radio and find a station broadcasting a stereo signal.&amp;nbsp; The lamp is illuminated by the stereo decoder and will not light for other inputs.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The stereo lamp could be burned so don&amp;#39;t trust that too much.&lt;br /&gt;Check that you have your speakers connected to a left and a right socket&lt;br /&gt;respectively and check that the mono button is not pressed.&lt;br /&gt;One of the volume sliders will control the left speaker, the other the right one.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Beovox 1001 are rare speakers and actually very good sounding with the Beomaster.&lt;br /&gt;Funny build really, in that the front grills are metal with thousand of little holes.&lt;br /&gt;Take good care of them.&lt;/p&gt;

I switched on a cd player on the tape slot and it works fine except for the sound which is not is stereo but in mono. (the stereo light doesn&amp;#39;t seem to work).
