No problem with either pair of speakers - if you play at full volume, the amplifier will get hot! Long term use at high volumes can cause damage to both speakers and amplifier, but this goes for all systems.

BeoCenter 4600 - quadraphonic?

Hi,

I've just bought at mint condition Beocentre 4600, but all the specifications I can read talk about it having 2x25 w output, but mine seems to have space for an extra set of speakers... I have a pair of Beovox S35, but also have an old set of warfedales I could hook up to it (after I go out and get new connectors).

My question is, do I effectivly have 4x25w? Or does the power somehow get split so its 4x12.5w?

Also the impedence of the S35's is listed at 4-8 Ohms, but the warfedales are listed simply at 8 Ohms... Could this end up damaging the amplifier?

Thanks
