Well will listen to my Beovox M-100 with a native "stone" BM 4400 or Scan-Dyna 4000 (another great receiver).

Re: Dirigent 609 K

Yes, the models with push-pull output stages will have more power, at least theoretically.
The HiFi amplifier 608 (often referred to as Beolab 608) springs to mind, that's
only a an amplifier, no tuner.
Some of the later Grand Prix models and I believe also the Master Deluxe Present models also
have push-pull output stages, these are complete receivers, tuner and amplifiers.
The Master Deluxe Present and some of the Grand Prix models have built-in speakers.

The Beovox M-100 are heavy speakers to drive. I am not sure they would be a good match for vintage
valve amplfiers unless really powerful (of which B&O didn't produce much, apart from the BOFA cinema equipment).
The impedance will be off too. Typical impedance for valve speakers are 3-4 ohms.

Not very nicely put by me, I realize. I was not intending to offend the
japanese but that was the only way I could think of to explain it and the
tendency does seem to come from the east.

In the 50's, an 8W amplifier was used for the commentator PA at a large football
stadium in Copenhagen.
Today, people have 20-40W or more in their car and 400W at their computer table...
Open up a 200W PC amplifier/speaker and look at the tiny transformer and thin leads
and you'll know what I refer to.
Speaker efficiency is an important factor, I know, but surely those cannot be the
same type of watts.
