As you may know B&O never tell us how many products are produced of a specific model. At least I have never been able to get the information. I have use a little special 'technic' and my estimate is:

Beolab 5000 ------ approx. 15000 units are produced / sold from 1967 to 1972

Beomaster 5000 - approx. 12000 units are produced / sold from 1967 to 1972

But remaining ---- I really don't know.

You are a true ambassador for the 5000 system.
Mine are ok at the moment, as I swapped the fronts with ones from Peter, but we know where to come now.

I am happy to announce, I have succeeded to re-produce the front panels for Beolab 5000 and Beomaster 5000.

I am sure many of the Beolab 5000 lovers are looking for a possibility to replace the front panels. I guess about 70% of all Beolab 5000 panels are missing a lot of text or minor part of the text. For Beomaster 5000 I guess it is about 50% of the panels with failure.

A extremely expensive, but I really believe the fantastic Beolab 5000 system deserve investment.

The new panels are re-worked original panels and the following process has been done:

The old text and anodizing has been removed.

The panels are polished carefully to obtain the original aluminum surface structure

A new anodizing process

And the most important – a further anodizing process to add the text.

This means the text is now a part of the high quality anodizing process and will last ’for ever’.

I am considering offering these re-produced high quality Beolab 5000 panels as spare parts for Beolab 5000 and Beomaster 5000, if anyone are interested.

If anyone are interested, one of the conditions will be a kind of swopping system, where I will receive the old panels from you. These panels must be with all fitting and without scratches.

Please let me know if anyone would be interested.
