Take them apart and clean the carbon track very gently, clean the contact track from any oxidation and clean the &amp;quot;fingers&amp;quot; that touch the tracks from oxidation. Then put some contact cleaner on the tracks to protect them. However, the right-hand channel has quite a bit more low-end and midrange presence than the left hand channel, which I have narrowed down to the bass tone control. When at full, both channels are even, but below full, the left hand channel drops away considerably quicker than the right.&lt;/p&gt;
