You can adjust it up/down with

the thumbwheel low on the left side of the turntable. You don't have to open anything.

Look carefully and you will find it.

Hope this will help

Sput1

Re: Beogram 1200 Speed adjustment

There is a speed adjustment though it may be that the speed could be slow for a couple of other reasons. Check the belt - this is a round section belt and can be loose. They are available through specialists but are expensive! You can perform minor surgery by removing a small piece and sticking the two ends with super glue - but this is last resort time! Does the motor speed up with time? If so, it needs stripping down as the grease and oil has become thick. Specialist job really.

Re: Beogram 1200 Speed adjustment

Hi Alex!

If I remember right there is a speed adjustment thumbwheel on the left side of the record player in the lower part of the chassis, no need to open. You can reach the belt by removing the turntable gently.

/Fredrik

Beogram 1200 Speed adjustment

Hi,

I'm quite new at this site and I'm posting this because last week I started to fix an old Beogram 1200 that I had in my storage.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/alexandrecunha/2273348709/

Everything seems to be fine with the turntable but rotates a bit slower than it should. 33RPM is now about 30RPM.

Does anyone have experience adjusting the Beogram 1200 speed? Any useful tips? How do I reach to the belt?

Thank you,

Alex
