It's my experience that only a few BG4004 had the threaded pins, most had a
standard 7-pin plug with no removeable pins (and the outer pins broken off).

Mine has threaded pins but more than that I can't comment. This is the first 4004 that I have had.

Re: Beogram 4004 DIN pins

@ tournedos I would just like to see it work tbh.
I actually have the diagram for the 4004 which came with the deck so that side is not a problem.

Re: Beogram 4004 DIN pins

Interesting about the pins Martin. It's just start, stop and pause anyway.

The
service manual on site seems to cover both 2400 and 2400-2, but after a
quick glance over it it doesn't say a word about the Beogram control.
The ultrasonic receiver and control schematic is there though. And the
Beogram 4004 service manual is rather vague on the subject too, as well
as being almost illegible.

Of course you could construct any control stuff into the Beomaster starting from your own ideas, but see paragraph 1...

Re: Beogram 4004 DIN pins

If he has some, then fine.
If not, I'll take a look.

Make sure that there actually is a threading in the plug.
It's my experience that only a few BG4004 had the threaded pins, most had a
standard 7-pin plug with no removeable pins (and the outer pins broken off).

I mainly want to get an idea of the thread as this is going to be the hardest part to get right! Otherwise I will have to consider removing the old plug / lead which I don't want to do!

Also are there manuals for both the 2400 and 2400-2 in the archives? I would like to see if it is possible to make a homegrown upgrade to my bog standard 2400 for my Beogram :).

Thanks,
