Beware of adjusting something while misaligning something else into the bargain!

If you touch arm parallelism, it can influence the aperture setting too.

When you pause/play the arm should lower and the carriage must not move at all. If it does, it is not properly aligned. This can be tricky to do and if you don't feel you can do it, then don't. If you feel up to the task, do exactly as per manual's instructions.

For what it's worth!

Re: Beogram 6002: how to make parallel the detector and the pick-up arms ?

First you need to make sure the detector arm is aligned correctly, then the tonearm.
The adjustments are found ontop the detector arm and at the left side of the carriage (for vertical parallelism)
and underneath the carriage (for horizontal parallelism) respectively.
Pages 5-1 and 5-2 in the service manual.
You need to lift off the carriage from its tracks to reach the adjustment screw underneath.

These adjustments normally don't go out by themselves. If the deck had a rough transport, I suggest
you check if something else is off or broken.

I have recently bought a Beogram 6002. Great soung, but when I look the two arms from above, they are not parallel. I have the service manual, which explains that I have to adjuste a screw (a figure is shown). Unfortunatly I don't understand where is this screw. The manual says "under the carrier unit", but where exactly ?

Best regards.
