I have just had a look at the solenoid and its definitely seems like the cause of the problems i'm having. There is no way that the little plastic bit in the middle is moving without breaking it.

Does anyone know where i will be able to get one from. I would love to have this player running because it means a lot to me.

thank you for your help

Re: Beogram 3000 not working, Help!

Check the switching solenoid inside the player, on the PCB. If you do a search for solenoid and beogram 3000 it should come up. I had the same problem.

These sometimes get stuck. You might be able to loosen it, might also be so stuck it'll have to be replaced.

Good luck!

Re: Beogram 3000 not working, Help!

Thanks for the quick response.

I have tried it with and without a record. Is it possible that there is a sensor not working which is making it think there is not record on the platter?

You need to have a record on the platter or this will be the exact outcome. There is a built in safety function which stops the tonaerm from setting down if there isn't a record present.

I have a Beogram 3000 that i inherited from my father who absolutely loved B&O. After a few years i have decided to get the old system up and running but i have encountered some problems.

When i press play, the light on the arm (33, 45) lights up and the player spins for a few seconds then it just stops and turns off. The arm doesn't move at all. does anyone have any idea what the cause of this would be.

Cheers
