Glad to know that all arrived safely, and that it was everything (and more) that you were expecting.

My ears just aren't what they used to be, and the MMC was just not being used, so I am glad it has found a happy home!

My 8002 was initially tracking at 2 grams, which was clearly too heavy. I reduced it to 1.1 and the sound improvement was amazing. I need to zero balance the tonearm and then reset. But that will have to wait for the weekend.

Many thanks to Burantek for my “new” MMC2.

The MMC2 took my 8002 from the bottom of the list vis a vis sound quality to number 2. I was surprised, maybe even shocked to find that my Beogram 4000 with its ancient MMC20CL still holds on to the top slot.

With any cartridge, better a little too heavy than too light.

Yes Peter is correct, it should be about 1.2. However if the vinyl is worn or indeed the stylus is a little passed it's best, you could go a little heavier.
