Your Beogram 8002 will accept any cartridge from the MMC1-MMC5 range. Unfortunately, they indeed have been out-of-production for some time now. As it stands, when it comes to old B&O cartridges (possibly even new-old stock ones), their internal suspension tends to disintegrate and fail over time. Fortunately, a company called SoundSmith manufactures replacements, which are said to be very good. Their prices range from $149 (the basic SMMC4) to $1599 (the top-of-the-line "The Voice"). Hope this helps.

I have had the Beogram 8002 for approximately 2 months, but have only just begun getting it (and myself) ready for operation again.

I recieved the turntable with no cartridge, and I'm not sure what cartridges will work and how much I should expect to spend.

Also, is there a good source for new one's (B&O preferrably) as I've heard B&O has discontinued the MMC's...(?)

Thanks in advance,
