The selller mentioned that the mini belt is availble from Maplins. The fact that he mentioned that leads me to believe that he's purchaed this one from there as it doesn't sit properly in the wheel groove. Seems like I need a new mini belt and the washer and maybe the broken wheel isnt the correct one but the wrong guage. :-(

Re: Beogram 6000 Quad Pully Wheel Broken.

Thanks, yeah, I glued it back together it doesn't seem to sit well on the spindle and the belt comes off after a play or two. There isn't a washer on the spindle either which could be why it doesn't balance properly?

Just so you know, there are different gauges of spindle. One kind member sent me a new wheel but it didn't fit. My glued one works fine!

Re: Beogram 6000 Quad Pully Wheel Broken.

There's a often a washer behind the plastic wheel to prevent the wheel from rubbing against the bearing holder.

I just bought the deck today with MMC 6000 and was so chuffed, sounds amazing.

After playing couple of records it stopped operating properly, so I opened it up to find that the wheel was broken previously and had been glued back together and is now in two pieces. Does anyone know if there was supposed anything else on the rod which the wheel attaches too?

Thanks
