Well the "housing with lamp" ( n. 244 in the manual ) doesn't work. Can I get one somewhere ? Should I check if the power supply reaches the lamp? How? There is another lamp ( that works) inside the carrier. What is it for?

Thanx Mika, as soon as I can I'll take a look at it. I've seen the "adjustment of shutter" section in the manual and I'll check if everything is ok.

That's it. Since you can drive the arm both ways, the motor, its belt and the driver circuit should all be fine and operational. You probably have some kind of a problem in the shutter circuit, that is supposed to instruct the servo on how to track the record grooves. The light / shutter / sensor assembly is located under the pivot point of the arm. Looking at the quoted picture, if you peek from the right under there, do you see any sign of the bulb lighting? (or course, Dillen will soon arrive and tell us some versions use a IR light which you can't see )

well, I lubricated the important points and they seem to work well, I lowered the bearing spindle at the right height, and now the arm won't lower without a disc, I realigned the motor and the belt stays in the middle of the pulley but.... the servo doesn't work. It doesn't travel a millimeter

Any suggestion?

BTW, DO NOT remove your CD-4 Demodulator board - it also functions as an extremely high-quality RIAA amplifier, and you'd have to spend a small fortune on an aftermaket pre-amp to even approach its quality.

I've bought a beogram 6000 from ebay, but the sensor/arm unit doesn't work: it doesn't go ahead and the arm lower even without the record. For what I understand the "servo" doesn't work. Seems everything else works. Any suggestion?
